From first enquiry to follow-up

Start with six stages, then prepare for the one you are at. Each stage sets out what to prepare, whom to ask and what to obtain.

Initial enquiry

Prepare: Share your interests, departure city, preferred timing and previous treatment. You can enquire without recent reports.
Confirm with: Ask the enquiry recipient about the first consultation, reply channel and fee.
What to obtain: Consultation format, fee and a list of required information.

Reports and history

Prepare: Sort existing reports, treatment and surgery records, medication and allergies by date.
Confirm with: Confirm privacy arrangements and the submission channel with the institution. The clinician decides which reports remain usable and which tests to add.
What to obtain: Confirmation of receipt, additional tests and report-validity requirements.

Physician assessment

Prepare: Prepare your questions and explain attendance and budget constraints.
Confirm with: Discuss options, alternatives, risks and monitoring with the receiving physician.
What to obtain: An individual plan, examination arrangements and unresolved questions.

Quotation and travel

Prepare: Check documents, genuine travel purpose, budget and companion needs.
Confirm with: Confirm appointments, payment recipient and cancellation terms with the institution; arrange travel around clinical dates.
What to obtain: Written scope, exclusions, payment stages, appointment date and address.

Clinic attendance and treatment

Prepare: Bring requested reports and documents and attend the confirmed appointment.
Confirm with: The medical team manages diagnosis, prescriptions, monitoring, retrieval, culture or transfer. Confirm any changes as they arise.
What to obtain: Reports, prescriptions and review arrangements for the care actually provided.

Return and follow-up

Prepare: Keep treatment records, prescriptions, receipts and storage authorisations.
Confirm with: Confirm medication and reviews with the medical team; confirm authorisations, renewals and contacts with the storage provider.
What to obtain: Treatment summary, review plan, follow-up contact and storage-renewal information.

Before departure: confirm each item

Plan treatment length and time away separately

An IVF cycle is commonly around 3–6 weeks, depending on the plan and preparation included. This does not require staying in Saipan throughout. Retrieval and transfer may be separate stages. Confirm your own attendance and return dates after assessment, and check permitted stay separately.
